DrillDown Method with Power BI Rest API i.e. the three drill down option on top left of visual

Hi,

We've use Javascript API to embed POWER Reports and many other of its methods like filter and getpage or tile for our business requirement.

There's a request from User if we can provide Button on Web Page which can drilldown and up certain tile of report i.e. to use the three drill down option on top left of visual.

So I'm  wondering if POWERBI provide  some  Rest API method to implement same.

Thanks

Hi Thanos,

Thanks for your kind reply, i've checked the link and found this is only available for drill down on data points.

What i was looking for to drill to next level i.e. the three drill down option on top left of visual.

Is it available in any mention method of POWER BI REST API's , if so will really appreciate you or some can  enlighten me about this.

Also this makes me change context of question to help community , if someone looking for same mechanism of work.

Thanks &  Regards

Hi @HarsimPWRBI,

there's no endpoint in the PowerBI REST API that you can use to drilldown.

One of my thoughts was to create a custom visual where you can specify your drilldown. Unfortunately, there's no way at the moment to set it programmatically (here an open issue).

As a conclusion, there's no an out-of-the-box programmatically way to drilldown in a report.

Hope it helps,

Regards

Thanos
