I have a REST API with the following structure (example):
api/[project]/endpoints/[endpoint]
where [project] is a project name string, and [endpoint] can be a bunch of stuff like "Revenue", "Costs", etc. (I'm simplifying here, there are several more levels).
I've written a custom data connector with large nested navtables and everything works fine.
So here's my problem: I would like the user to be able to select e.g. the "Revenue" endpoint from a bunch of different projects and end up with queries that are named "[project] Revenue" (or something similar) rather than this:
I can't find any other way of doing this than through the "nameColumn" in my navTable. But adding the project name in on every endpoint makes the navTable completely unusable.
Is there any way to solve this?
Ideally what I would like is for the endpoint name to appear in one way in the navTable, and in another way when the query is loaded into Power BI (e.g. "Revenue" in the navTable and "[project] Revenue" once the query is named.
