Can I use a measure in a DAX query

I have a measure Measure = USERNAME(). I would like to pass that to a query. I will be using it to select the DB I want to connect to. I've been trying with parameters too but I cannot use DAX in a parameter, is this statement true? Any help will highly appreciate it. We don't want to let the user enter their own values, that is why we would like to dynamically assign the username to a variable and then pass it to the query
