Azure Tax Details

Hi All,

I am developing a billing report in power bi. I have a query regarding the tax details.
1. Is the tax percentage is different from one country to another.
2. Is the tax different based on azure subscription/agreement (like Enterprise Agreement and Microsoft Customer Agreement). are the tax values different for both ?
3. How the discount is calculated in the Invoice
4. What can be the differences observed and needs to be considered for the calculation part.
5. Where can i get all the details regarding billing which includes taxes, hidden charges etc. (That means i need the details that i am finally making the payment to azure, that amount i needed)

Thanks,
Sudharshan

Hi @Sudharshan1919 ,

When you buy Azure products and services, the taxes that you pay are determined by one of two things: your sold-to address, or your ship-to/service usage address, if it's different.

A billing account is created when you sign up to use Azure. You use your billing account to manage your invoices, payments, and track costs. You can have access to multiple billing accounts. For example, you might have signed up for Azure for your personal projects. You could also have access through your organization's Enterprise Agreement or Microsoft Customer Agreement. For each of these scenarios, you would have a separate billing account.
