Access Power BI Model on Shared Azure Analysis service

Hi,

Like written in this post:

https://unnieayilliath.com/2017/11/12/connecting-to-azure-analysis-services-using-adomd/

Is it possible to access a PBI model on the shared infrastructure in the same way?

Any advice is welcome,

Thanks in advance.

Frank

Is this what you are looking for?

Import Power BI Desktop files into Azure Analysis Services

If not, then please explain a bit for what you would like to achieve.

Regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

We're trying to query the Power BI model that is hosted on the shared infrastructure.

If we connect from Excel to this model (published via Power BI Desktop)  via Power BI Publisher for Excel extension we can query it.

We want to make an application that works together with Power BI embedded, but for some data in the model we want to query it from the model into our application.

It is also possible to query an Azure Analysis Service Model directly via ADOMD.NET, but those models are dedicated on AAS.

Is the same possible with models (also AAS) published to the shared capacity of Power BI Service?

Thanks in advance.
