xviz hierarchical slicer doesnt work with measures

hi

I am struggling with displaying the correct values of a measure that calculates gross margin in a hierarchical slicer. I am using Xviz hierarchical slicer to display the data. At the lowest levels of the hierarchy, the gross margin displays correctly. As you go up to higher levels in the hierarchy, it does not display gross margin. It displays the sum of the gross margins from the level below it. I do not understand why you cannot calculate gross margin at different levels of the hierarchy. The hierarchy that I have is product family, product group, part number. Below is an example of what I get:

1.PNG

If you notice, levels two and three of the hierarchy are just a sumof the values of the gross margin at the levels below them, they are not a calculation of gross margin at the appropriate level of the hierarchy. I have tried to use isinscope in the formula for the gross margin measure, but that does not help. any ideas How I can get this Xviz visual to work? Or how I can do it using a different method?

thanks!
