I want to use some python packages.
Is any python package I can download be used? Is there a comprehensive list of packages that power bi can use? ie. I want to use numpy, pandas, cvxopt, blas, solvers, etc.

Nice thanks - pretty sure that page didn't exist when I originally asked or it didn't have the package list but I'm glad it does now.

Hi @Anonymous ,
The following Python packages (non-Intel MKL) are currently supported for use in your Power BI reports:
Aother reference:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-python-visuals

I found those blog posts but I don't see a comprehensive list of supported Python packages. The blog post at: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/python-visualizations-in-power-bi-service/ says:
We’ll include the versions of the packages supported in the documentation for the Python support in Power BI.
But I can't find what documentation is being referenced. I can see a page for R packages here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-r-packages-support
That is exactly the sort of page I want for Python. Does that exist or will it exist soon?
Regards,
Owen
Supported python packages can be found at the same url - replacing r for python in the url:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-python-packages-support
