what is the best date expression , so that i don't need to modify the year figure from 2021 to 2022

I notice that now is 2022 , if my date expression is still no change , it will no display 2022 sales target right ?

Calendar = CALENDAR ( "2003,1,1", DATE( YEAR ( TODAY() ), 12, 31 ) )

I just notice that if i using below expression for Date , the issue is YTD figure now become Blank . 

Calendar = CALENDAR ( "2003,1,1", TODAY() )

So for now i still need to use :-

CALENDAR(Date(2003,01,01),date(2021,12,31))

So that i can view YTD and LYTD figure.

May i know it there a way that provide best of both world ?

if have can you share . So that i can view 2022 sales target amount for 2022.
