unit of money for india

Do we have an option to use LAKH or CRORE as the unit of measurement for Money for Indian customers. In India we dont use MILLION OR BILLION or $$. We need to show it as INR RUPEE. Its ok if we have to set this in the config file. All Indian customers will need this.

Hi SudiCorp,

In order to change the currency from $ to the currency of your choice, go to the data view, select the table and column you want, in the toolbar go to formatting/currency and choose the desired currency symbol.

Greetings Charlie, I appreciate Solution for your answer . i could apply currency symbol for rupee as you mentioned but still I need display unit in lakh/crore instead of million/billion. Do you have any solution ?

We require the unit of Money format for India and its mandotry for all the government and banking reporting.

Amount in

Lakhs means: 1,00,000/-   (5 zeros)

Crore means: 1,00,00,000/-   (7 zeros)

We cant use it for any serious reporting till we get this format.

Yes It is mandate to show the values in the form of Crores and Lakhs.

Since it is a global product need to have a facility to customize the display as per the regional level.

The Indian currencies that are listed are:

Assamese (India)

Bangla (India)

Bodo (India)

English (India)

Gujarati (India)

Hindi (India)

Kannada (India)

Konkani (India)

Malayalam (India)

Marathi (India)

Napali (India)

Odia (India)

They all display the symbol

These are in the data model tab listed under the $ dropdown in All Currencies.

You can set the Display units in the visualization to "None" to get rid of the Millions and Billions.

All this being said, I am probably far too ignorant of Indian monetary units to know if this is of any help whatsoever.
