unipivot data - in three sheets depending on data? - Example-Solutions are build with VLOOKUP

Hello,

I have the following XLSX. (Example file link)

In this file you see a sheet called blogliste_gmc - that's the data.sheet that should be unipivot.

Data-SheetData-Sheetunipivot - Solution - at_attributunipivot - Solution - at_attributunipivot - Solution - mm_merkmalunipivot - Solution - mm_merkmalunipivot - Solution - woa_elementunipivot - Solution - woa_element

And three solution sheets (how to transform it)

Can someone help me?

Many Thanks

It looks like you have two sets of data.

  • Data1 is the information in the table
  • Data2 is the information above the table
    • Data2 is associated with Data1 on the value in row 4

If we treat it as two data sets we can pull them in separately, transform them and join them together.

Data1 is just unpivoting all columns except the first 3

Data2.jpg

Data 2, we

  • Remove the first 3 columns
  • Keep just the first 4 rows
  • Transpose the data
  • Rename the columns

Once this is done you can join the two table together on the Attribute column (the one that is in both data sets aka row 4) and pivot / filter it however you like.

I have created a PBIX file pointing at your xlsx file for you to look at. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2643sop0a4lp2iz/merkmale_erstellen_automatisch_forum.pbix?dl=0
