I tried publishing my dashboard in my workspace but I get the error that the dataset didnt get refreshed and it has to be manually refreshed or scheduled. Please assist with this issue.

Hello @mkthomas 

I am assuming that you created your report in PowerBI desktop using a data source somewhere on your network (SQL, excel files, SAP, etc).  When creating like that PowerBI can use your user credentials to pull the data.  Once you publish the report to the service you need a data gateway for PowerBI to use to get access to the data.
