This is because of your many-to-many relationships, or bidirectional filters. You should study this document from MS. You may be able to avoid Many to Many using bridge tables or other methods. Many to Many can be good in the right circumstances, but it causes issues. I use them as a very LAST resort. I prefer bridge tables as they keep the model a bit cleaner and you avoid the ambiguity problems. They, however, don't solve all issues. It is a matter of what works best in your scenario.

Can you go to your model tab, give us a screenshot of what that looks like, then right-click on any table, click Manage Relationships, and show us what it is not allowing you to do when you create a new relationship?
