I am on the following version of Power BI Desktop: 2.62.5222.761 64-bit (September 2018)

 I get the following error message when trying to create a new connection:

Unable to connect

We encountered an error while trying to connect.

Details: Evaluation resulted in a stack overflow and cannot continue.

I am trying to connect to version 9 Dynamics 365 online. States on Dynamics 365 Administration Center that we are running version: Dynamics 365, version 9.0  The database version is: 9.0.2.2279

Has anyone been able to successfully connect to Dynamics 365 ver 9 using Power BI Desktop?

Hi @wperkinson,

Please try with replacing the v9.0 with v8.2 in the web API URL.

I actually "backed down" to a version of Power BI desktop from April and it works.  I could not get the 8.2 or 8.1 to work with the latest version.
