to get latest date in the report

Hi,

I have a report where calender date is the slicer, now I want to get the latest date in my calender date as the slicer, for this I have used Max(Table[Date]) but for some reason it is not applying as a slicer. Any suggestions will really help.

Please find below data for refrence

Latest date Col is a calculated column created with Max(weekenddate) to get latest date.

weekenddate is the calender date to be used

I need only Sunday, March 8, 2020 data data which is not applying

Hello @neelofarshama ,

You may try this:

Create a measure instead of calculated column for max date.

Apply following filter in the Slicer:

Cheers!

Try if this can work for you. In visual level filter I moved same date taken top 1 taking same date as column

Thank you for the reply, I tried using visual filter with Top 1 but it was not working

@neelofarshama

Have you used the latest date as the agg.  Check my screen short. Right click and change

If that is a measure, you cannot generally use measures in slicers.
