I have been wrestling with this problem for a couple of weeks now and I can't find a soloution. I have an SQL query that returns the  information I need from a database.

It comes through as follows

WC     Start                                      End                                    Duration

1         28/03/2017 21:45:29            29/03/2017 02:24:47         04:39:18

1         29/03/2017 04:18:11            29/03/2017 08:06:30         03:48:19

1         29/03/2017 08:06:09            29/03/2017 15:49:34         07:49:34

2         28/03/2017 22:45:29            29/03/2017 03:24:47         04:39:18

2         29/03/2017 05:18:11            29/03/2017 09:06:30         03:48:19

2         29/03/2017 09:06:09            29/03/2017 16:49:34         07:49:34

I want to create a gantt style chart where everything with the same WC appears on the same line, I have tried using stacked bar charts but I unable to get it to show gaps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards Graeme

You can't really turn a stacked bar chart into a gantt chart. They are fundamentally different types of charts. There is a gantt chart custom visual you could use instead. https://app.powerbi.com/visuals/show/Gantt1448688115699

Hello, did you find a solution to your problem?

I have the same thing to solve and just talking with https://zoomcharts.com/en/. The head of product is working on it, I will post if there are some news!

@BiggestNizzy,

Currently, there is no such visual which can give you a output like that in your screenshot. If you expert with exprience on coding, you could create your own visual. Custom visuals allow you to meet your users' needs and match your app's design. Learn how to create a custom visual for Power BI using the developer tools.
