switching between graph visualization

Hi everybody,

I have a graph showing monthly energy consumption in a bar chart format. I can drill down to view the data on daily and hourly basis. however, I want to see the hourly data on a line graph and not a bar chart. In fact, I want to switch from bar chart to line graph while I am drilling down. Do you think it is possible?

Thanks

Hi @Alirezam ,

This option is not possible using the drill down option, drill down is based on the same chart so you are not abble to change the chart with the interaction within itself.

You need to create two visualizations one for daily visualization (bar chart) and another for hourly (line chart) and using bookmarks and buttons make that change. So instead of having the drill down you would have the change.

Since the previous option would not filter out the line/bar chart based on your selection another option would be to create the two visualizations and make a drillthrough from one visual to the other and in that way keep the filters and the specific select point as in the drilldown option.

Check the documention about bookmarks and drilltrough options.

MFelix
