slicers drills down other visualisation

Dear all,

I have a visualization which uses a hierarchy, and i have the full hierarchy (4 levels) as slicers on the dashboard.

By default, the visualization shows the 2nd level in the hierarchy. The question here is, if you use one of the slicers, deeper than the visualization is on, then drill down the visualization.

for instance:
Once you filter the level 1 filter, then you only see the level 2 names on the x-axis (default). But if you use the level 2 slicer then the x axis changes to all the level 3 names automatically. Now I only get to see one of the level 2 names if you only use the slicer.

any ideas on how to solve this?

hi, @VV24

For your requirement, The direct approach is hard to implement, you may try this way as below:

Step1:

In Edit Queries, select level1,level2,level3,level4, then unpivot them

NOTE: you need to delete the relationship between geo and sales first.

Step2:

Then download a custom visual: hierarchyslicer from Marketplace

and drag Attribute and Value fields from Geo into it.

Step3:

Use Value field as  axis of the visual

Result:

7.JPG

and here is pbix file, please try it.

Hi Lin,

Thanks for you response, unfortunately this does not solve my problem. Also the hierarchy slices does not support the sync slicers yet.
