Hi all,
Is there a way to have a bar graph shows the past 12 months data based on the slicer date value selected by the user? As I need historical data for other analytics... I cannot just filter out from query...
I've tried looking at some solutions online... most of them uses the function "now" instead of a slicer.
Thanks

Hi there
You can look at my data story below, where I create Periods, which in theory could be any period you like. 1 Month Back, 13 Months, YTD, etc.
So in there you can create your own period and then put this as a slicer for people to use. And I find that this is a lot easier to create, complete and has many other uses.

I think somebody has already asked the question.
If anyone knows any solution, please assist.
Thanks
@JackyChoi Let me see if I understand what you're asking for. You want a slicer where the user selects a single date, and a measure that gives a total for the 12 months preceding the date they've selected?

@KHorseman Not quite, I would like the bar graph to shows the past 12 months performance by month.
I have a date column, which is the slider in this case. Once a user select Aug 2016, the graph should show Sept 2015 - Sept 2016 (total of 12 columns)
Does that make sense?
