hi @santhoshacc

Power BI Desktop's query editor and M language is case-sensitive while Power BI Desktop's data model and DAX language is not case-sensitive. it depends on which term was the first in the list (will always take the first one).

So you need to transform it in power query, see this blog for more details:

Hi,

Thank you for mail.

May be my mistake, I am taking about functionality of search option in slicer or filer pane. (visual not dax functions)

We are searching with small letters from search option in slicer. It will show only capital letters only in slicer.

May be its search functionality in slicer is like that or else.

Please help me out on this issue.

Thanks,

Santhosh.

Hi @santhoshacc,

Inside the Power BI model items are not case-sensitive, this is why when you search with small letters you will see things in the slicer whether they are big or small letters.

If you want your slicer items to be in lower letters you should convert them before import. In Power Query there are functions such as Capitalize Each Word or Lowercase. If you right click a column header in the query editor and go to the transformation part of the menu you will see these functions. Then they will show up lower case in the slicer.

Hope this helps.

Kris
