Hello All
Does anyone know if it is possible to run an append query on demand or schedule it on a monthly basis.
My reason for asking, is that I have a HR sharepoint list, but this is just a snapshot of where we are, and I want to have access to historical data. So my plan was to create a repositary and we can append at the start of each month with the live data
ta in advance

This is a different method - not so vulnerable against accidental refresh all:

You would create a query to your SharePoint list and load everything into your data model as "MyTable". You would then create a second query to the same SharePoint list and then choose Append Query and choose "MyTable" as to what should be appended. You would not refresh the first query, you would only refresh the second.
