rename columns based on name (not sure if it's level or hierarchy or attribute)

I'd like to rename my columns either on import or immediately following.

Example name that comes in: [DIM A].[YEAR].[YEAR].[MEMBER_CAPTION]

Name I want to display: Year

Is there a formula for this?

Hi @cdknuth,

In query editor, it support rename multiple columns at same time, it can be parameters with list who store lists with 'old name', 'new name'.

Table.RenameColumns

#"Renamed Columns" = Table.RenameColumns(#"Previous Steps",
{{OldName,NewName},{OldName1,NewName1},{OldName2,NewName2},{OldName3,NewName3}})

In addition, use sql statement in advanced option to replace column names also works for your requirement.

In power Query, right click the column header - > Rename.

Thanks, Raj. But I'm looking for a way to rename 5-10 columns at once while importing into Power BI from SSAS.
