"soft" row level security / custom default view

Can a report default to a subset of data based on the user, without limiting that user from seeing all data?  Something so when a user first pulled up the report it would display the data tied to them, but they would have the ability to see other data if they wanted?

Hi @Bobfather,

 

AFAK, power bi RLS feature can't achieve your requirement.
You can try to use the bookmark features to create a bookmark with specific filters for each users.(filter with USERNAME function on username\domain mapping table)

 

BTW, you can also submit this to ideas forum.

That's a good idea. I think it might be an opportunity for me to try out the new drill-through filters as well, so someone could get to a customized page with one click. Thanks for getting me thinking about alternatives!
