Hi all,
I am using direct query to pull from a SQL database. In my my query I have a calculated column let's called it "custom1". Then I have a conditional column based on column 1 that computes True if "Custom1" is greater then 0 and False if less then zero.
Then on my visual I am using the conditional column as a slicer. The problem is that it takes forever to filter the table (after I click on True/or false) I have displayed. Up to 90 seconds usually. Is there anything I can do here to improve performance?
Have you solved your issue by now? If you have, could you please help mark the correct answer to finish the thread? Your contribution will be much appreciated.
Regards,
Jimmy Tao
Filter operation in slicer is slow because it's based on DAX engine which is slower than in power query, you may filter the column in power. In addtion, the most fast way is to write some SQL statement and import data from sql server.
