"Require user approval for new native database queries" tick box resets each time I open PBIX file.

Hi,

I am currently working on a  report in Desktop that has native SQL queries.  To overcome the permissions warning, I have deselected the tick box on the "Require user approval for new native database queries" options screen.

The problem I am currently having is that the next time I open the PBIX file and work on the report, the tick box has been set back.

Is there any way to stop this from happening?  I am the only person working on this file.

Also, will this be an issue when I setup automatic refreshes?

Have you tested the automatic refreshes? Does it work?

If the dataset can be successfully refreshed, would you like to mark parry2k’s reply as a solution or share some experience so that others can learn from it too?

@WranglingData no it will not be an issue when you configure the schedule for data refresh.

Thanks @parry2k .  I am actually still waiting for my infra guys to setup the gateway for this particular project, so I'll test it then.
