"Pointing" Report to a Different Database

Hi:

I have a report exactly the way I want it in terms of the tables that the report is pulling from.

But, I want to "point" the report to a different database containing those same tables.

In general, how can I accomplish this?

@jellis1971 not sure what have you tried? You never explained what things you have tried? In your previous post, you mentioned what is power query and the concern is if you don't know that, that is the core of the solution. If you help us understand what you have tried so far, it will help to provide further guidance.

Well, I have tried everything suggested with no results.  In fact, I tried everything below posting earlier.

Does Power BI not have a simple window that can be used to say "point to this other company".  Every other BI tool that I have used over the years has this.

--You can create a separate query (in PowerQuery) for the connection (server+Database) and then use the connection query everywhere in subsequent table queries.

--Create parameters for servers and database and use these into the table queries.

What is Power Query?  I didn't use it to compsoe my report.

This is the query editor, you can find your connections, here you can create parameters or global connection as mentioned in previous thread. Update M code etc.
