"Evaluating" Slow connection with Sharepoint and duplicate Access DB

Hello,

I have the latest version of Power Bi and have tried several versions.
I have a report whose data source is an Access DB hosted in a Sharepoint. The Access DB has a size of approximately 400 MB.
The report uses approximately 10 tables of that database.

The problem occurs when I enter the query editor in the report or try to update the data, it remains "evaluating" for hours.

A few hours later, the report fails because the hard disk has been filled.

If we look in the temporary folder of powerbi, we can see that many copies of the BBDD Access have been created.

Is this operation normal? for what is this?

Thank you

Hi.

I was having the same problem, slow to update the data of a folder in SharePoint.

For me, it resolved by excluding the TEMP folders from PowerBI.

In the image I renamed the old ones (with a bug apparently), but deleted them after Power BI recreated the folder.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I think that it could be a query folding issue.

Here is the blog writen by Reza Rad for your reference.

Hi,

That may be the problem of performance, but that does not explain that so many duplicate databases are created.

In developments created from an SQL source if we have controlled this problem, however this database is an Access from Sharepoint, which does not allow to query.

Thanks
