"Access to the resource is forbiden" while getting data from blob storage

Hi all,

I was trying to load data from blob storage in power bi desktop, but after i entered my blob storage account in the input field, it showed the message: "Access to the resource is forbiden". However, i tried the same account and key in other computers, and it worked. I don't know whether it is due to my computer's configuration or other reasons. I appreciate it if somebody could help me.

Hi @Dylan_Wei

There are two solutions you can try.

The first solution , this maybe a permission/authentication error. When you ever connect to blob storage in an unauthorized account, the corresponding credential would be created. You can change credential for connecting to blob storage as steps below. Here take Dynamic 365 as an example.

1.In Power BI Desktop, click Data source settings.

  6.

2.Click Edit Permission ,or you can connect to blob storage again after click Clear Permission.

4.Sign in organization account.

The second solution, please check the version of Power BI Desktop on your side, and the try it again after updating to the latest version 2.68.5432.661.

Best Regards,

Amy

Hi Amy,

Thanks a lot for your help! I tried your solutions but the problem is still. It seems it is due to our company's network issue(still not confirmed, too) because i can connet to the blob storage in some computers and some others cannot.
Anyway, still appreciated for your answer.

Best Regards,
Dylan Wei
