I have a folder with data with many different format.
I would to pre filter my data in order to take only xml or only json before loading the data in the power BI.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks.
This is what I am doing already.
Is there is a way to pre filter before loading the data to transform data ?

@enath

Sorry, that is the only place to filter.

@enath

Not quite sure how the process takes so long for you. Anyhow, you can create an idea share you thought here: https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/

there is so many data and not only json or xml... so the import is too long.

Is there is a way to prepare a dataset via python and then to insert the dataset in the power BI?

Hope you are using the FOLDER connector to connect to the location. when you connect and click transform in the preview window, you will see the first screen in power Query, click on the extension column and filter the file types you need to use.
