powerbi/subscribe/refresh in powerbi embedded slowing down report rendering

Hi, We have embedded power bi reports in our angular frontend using power-bi client js (npm package) and token generated using power bi client for .net following the official documentation. few issues we are facing related to performance.

1. when the reports are being rendered there are API requests being sent to www.{powerbi-service-in-region}.com/ powerbi/subscribe/refresh which is taking around 1 minute to complete. Mostly it fails. can you please tell us why it is failing and can we disable this api request? and whats the purpose of this API request?

2. when we generate 4 to 6 embed token in parallel it takes alot of time (10 to 18 seconds). why?

The reports renders better on off peak hours and even better on windows 10 powered PC's.

Thanks for your response, but we have tried all these. performance analyzer shows good results. 

can you tell me what exactly is powerbi/subscribe/refresh api call from embedded BI report?
