powerBI dashboard not refreshing

Hi

I am using web.contents to get data from the web. When I do the data refresh in PowerBI desktop, it works and the latest data would be showing in my powerBI desktop.

Howeverm when I do the scheudle refresh on PowerBI reports ( dashboard), the message says its succeed. But the latest data is not showing in the report.

What might be the issue here?

Yes please install the gateway from the link given below:

Please follow the instructions given in this documenation to install the gateway:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/service-gateway-onprem

@powerbbbuuuuu , publish to web/embedded data or when open on power bi service data is nor refreshed.

I faced this with published/share to the web dashboard was not showing the latest data yesterday, but it is correctly reflecting today.

Power bi desktop and when I open on service from workspace link. it was working.  Not the published link. But today publish link also showing the latest data.

Can you confirm you are doing the schedule refresh on the dataset and not just refreshing the dashboard? What function are you using after web.contents and do you have a gateway?

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes, the refresh scheudle was set on the datasets.

The code looks like: Source = Json.Documents(Web.Contents( "In there, It's just the urls that calls the API for data")).

Currently, there is no gateway set. Is this the issue?

Hi @powerbbbuuuuu ,

1. Install the on premises gateway

2.Use the on-premises data gateway app
3. When configuring the source, use "Anonymous credentials" AND mark "Skip test connection"
