power bi metadata

Hello Experts,

I am working on Power BI since few months but I lack little knowledge on Power BI metadata such as where it is stored (on local or on azure db), How it is, whether we can get export in xml or any form of the metadata, can we import data model by write in metadata or by importing metadata we can create reports on top of it.
Can anyone please share their views on my above concern.
Any sugestion would be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Mayur

Hi @mwadhwani,

Power BI Desktop file stores many metadata information in it locally. Followings are two good blogs which could help you understand the structure of PBIX file and how to expose M Code and Query Metadata of Power BI (PBIX) File. Smiley Happy
