In power bi desktop, when i am refreshind the datasource(which is simeple excel file), i am getting an error message "file contains corrupted data". However when i replcae the contents of my new file in my old file and just refresh the data, it loads correctly.
Issue comes only when in override excel file in SharePoint and the same goes away when i replace the content by copy pasting the data in the old file in SharePoint and refreshing Power BI.
Can anyone help me in solving this issue

Hi @Anonymous ,
From the similar case, as merelvstr's suggestion, you may check if the size of your second file has exceeded the limit 30M .
Also it is not supported to import data from password protected Excel file currently. Here is an idea you could vote it up. See this similar case.
If you still have this issue for Power BI, you'd better create a support ticket in Power BI Support , Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET", to get further help.
Best Regards,
Amy

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion ...but both the options suggested by you is not valid in my case.
SO neither my excel file is password protected nor my data is above 30M.
Also surprising thing is, when override my existing excel file withe the latest data file, then i am getting this error however when i am simply copy pasting the new data over the old data then i am not getting any error.
Does anyone has any idea about this issue. I really need to solve this ncident
