Hi everyone,
i have a table with (among others) the following fields: country, value_in %, year. In Tableau i can create very easily the following visual
but in power bi i get as fas as the following, is it my or power bi's limitation 😄
which looks pretty messed up

Thanks everyone,
i have "solved" the problem by placing multiple visuals side by side, creating the desired effect
a major problem with this approach is the amount of time one would invest if there e.g. 80 countries in the datamodel. The question that arieses here is, is there a way to automate plotting visuals???
@Anonymous
This is the closest I have managed...not exactly the same, but...

@Anonymous exactly that's the best you can do, you cannot drive the color based on Yes/No (red/green)

@PaulDBrown thx,
the resolution of the image is unfortunately very poor (or my eyes), and how did you achieve it?
@Anonymous
I haven't succeeded in including the yes/no.
Here is the PBI file if you're interested:

Hi,
do you need something like this?
Regards
Lorenzo
yes sir!
Perfect!
You have to set off the "Concatenate labels" option in the X Axis section of the Format properties of Visualization pane.
Country as legend gives different colors by Country effect.
If you agree with my solution, please give me a kudo.
Regards
Lorenzo
@Anonymous
Great solution you came up with! I wouldn't imagine it is that cumbersome to create a side-by side solution as you have created for a number of countries. Surely you can create a "master" chart, duplicate and use the filter pane to allot each country?
On another note, you can of course resort to creating custom visuals using R, of which I am completely ignorant though I did come across this example which does seem to point towards what you were looking for:
Table with embeded chart in Power Bi using R

@PaulDBrown thx.
the problem R or Python script generated plots are missing interactivity. Meaning, the filtering, slicing etc would not work. Correct me if i am wrong.
@Anonymous
I'm afraid my knowledge of R / Python is 0, and I haven't looked into the implications regarding interactivity etc, so I can't be of much help..
This page seems to say they do, however, respond to slicers etc:
How to create custom visuals in Power Bi using R
There is also a resource/tool which helps create custom visuals without coding, though I have never tried it out:

continuing the same thread:
why are the bar thickness different although everyting else is the same.
can anyone help me out here.
@Anonymous you need to use line and clustered column chart
and put % on line values. and format pane, under shapes, change turn on Stepped

@Anonymous aha, afaik that is not possible currently until you find out a visual on market place that I can achieve it.
