opening a pbix with report builder

hi,

I've made a suuuuuuuuper nice pbix file that has been deployed to power bi services (dataset and report).

Problem is, I've had a request to print to PDF all the 132 possible values of a filter. So I have to turn to power bi preport builder and use the paginated function.

Is there a way for me to open this with report builder or do I have to redo every visualtions again?

Hi,

I'm wondering what method did you use to export all 132 reports based on filter values in the end. I'm in a very similar situation. Thank you!

@powerbi00 There are a couple of options that come to mind.

1. Make each report page a subreport within a list of all the parameter combinations you want.

2. Create a list of parameters in SharePoint and use Power Automate to loop through the list and run + export the report for each set of parameters.

Thank you, I'll try that! Never got around to do the client's request and now I will 🙂

I'll mark as solution the minute I have positive results 😉

Thank you for the response. Do i need a premium account to be able to do it? I'm currently having a pro license only/

Good question. I think you might need premium for the second option but not the first.

I currently have a report template in Power BI Desktop, and I'm looking for a solution to loop through each filter value and export them to PDF. Are there any other methods to achieve this since paginated reports are limited in my case? Thank you.

No. The Report Builder is fundamentally different and cannot open a PBIX file.

That said, you can connect to a Power BI Dataset from the Report Builder. This lets you use the tables and measures you've already built (but not any visuals).
