need help with Three columns Start (Datetype) , Result (Text) , Token (Text)

Hey Everyone!

Three columns: Start (Datetype) , Result (Text) , Token (Text)

I want the following replacelogic (I'm in the Power Query editor) where I'm hoping to find some help with;

IF: Start value is empty and Result value is Sign up then I want the Token field to be: @
Else IF: Start value is not empty and Result value is Sign up then I want the Token field to be: O

Any idea how to do this?

Hi @Lombadode ,

//I want the following replacelogic..

Do you want to replace the matching value in the [Token] field and keep the other values? I made some modifications based on davehus' formula:

if [Start] = null and [Result] = "Sign up" then
  "@"
else if [Start] <> null and [Result] = "Sign up" then
  "O"
else
  [Token]

The original table and the processed table.

Hi,

Try if [Start Value] = "" and [Result] = "Sign Up" then "@" else "O"

This should work unless there are other values in the columns that you haven't specificed.
