my organization is not using windows can i user power bi report server as reporting tool?

i dont have windows operating system in my organization can i use power bi report server as a reporting tool. does active directory user is must required for permission and administrating?

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

There are some free mode of sharing the reports-
You can use Publish to web option (not secure method)

 

or, you can embed your PBI report to custom application.
You can also embed your PBI report to Microsoft Team.

Hi @Anonymous ,

 

You can use Windows VM in Azure and install Power BI on it.
For this you need a azure subscription. 

If you are a MAC user, then you can download windows on MAC from https://turbo.net/. This will give you a functionality to open Power BI desktop on it.

please review problem once. i installed report server on my server pc now i wanted to share those reports with my organizational user and they dont have windows in their machine so please tell me the way without buying pro licenses how i can share my report with them.

Yes, you can use Power BI as your reporting tool for non-windows operating system. Similar to other areas, Active directory requires permission to move on with the development.
