import limited data rows to exisiting data table in power bi

Dear Friends,

Recently I have faced a problem once refreshing the data to pbi. I normally refesh the data table in pbi by connecting to pygresql database . Now the problem is that the database size is increasing, and every time I refresh the data in pbi it receives all the data records from beginning which is time consuming.is there anyway I can only update the new data records which is not exisit in the pbi data table.?or I can select particular records from database and update the power bi data table?

thank you

Re: import limited data rows to exisiting data table in power bi

Hi @myti,

When we refresh the dataset manually or based on a schedule, Power BI uses information in the dataset to connect to the data sources defined for it, query for updated data, and then loads the updated data into the dataset. This refresh is a full refresh and not incremental. So for your requirement, it can't be achieved currently. For more information, please refer to this article: Understanding data refresh.

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
