how to use date parameter

I have an Oracle pipelined function as my source query, and I want to create a date parameter in my powerbi..

Questions:

1. once I define the parameter, how can I "connect" that parameter to my source query ?

2. Looks like current value is a must, Is there anyway I can enter current date for current value as today ?

Hi @Anonymous ,

You can refer to the following links to know how to parameterize your connection string with query parameters:

Power BI Desktop Query Parameters, Part 1

parameterize connection

In addition, if you mean to pass your parameter to advanced T-SQL query to your database. You need to define your date parameter as text type then do type convert in T-SQL query string based on oracle date functions.
