how to make visual selection affect filter pane

Is it possible to make a selection on a visual affect the data values in fields in the filter pane?

For example, say that I have a dimension table with fields [Customer] and [Customer Type], and a visual with field [Customer] and field [Customer Type] in the filter pane.  When a user selects a particular [Customer] value in this visual, I want the [Customer Type] field to filter down to only the relevant values.

Current power bi does not support these operations, visual not able to interact and dynamic change filter panel selections.
