how to get a slicer to filter on all pages on the dashboard?

I have came across multiple sources that say I can filter all live pages on a dashboard dynamically. However, every time I pin pages of the report to a dashboard, my slicers only works on Its page. It is not dynamic. Is there a way to make it dynamic? Or maybe there is something I am missing? Is there anything from the setting I can change to make a slicer works across all pages of the dashboard?

It is not possible to use a single slicer to filter all tiles in a dashboard, there is an idea about this issue, please vote it up.
