Hi,
I have a dataset, here is a screenshot of how i dragged the columns into a table in power bi, i want to find the standard deviation in count of part numbers with respect to priority every month, TIA.
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Anonymous
Try as a new column:
STD =
CALCULATE(
STDEV.P(Table02[COUNT]),
ALLEXCEPT(Table02,Table02[MONTH],Table02[PRIORITY])
)

@Anonymous - There are 4 standard deviation functions in DAX, STDEV.P, STDEV.S, STDEVX.P, STDEVX.S. If your data represents the entire population, use .P version, otherwise if it is a sample, use the .S version. You should be able to put month and priority in a visual and simply have a measure:
Measure = STDEV.P('Table'[Count of Part Number])
To do this as a measure, you can use this expression
Count STD =
VAR __summarytable =
SUMMARIZE (
Table,
Table[Priority],
Table[Month],
"@count", COUNT ( Table[Part Number] )
)
RETURN
STDEVX.P ( __summarytable, [@count] )
If this works for you, please mark it as the solution. Kudos are appreciated too. Please let me know if not.
Regards,
Pat
