hierarchy slicer without custom visual

I've requirement to show multiple levels of hierarchy in a slicer(Level1,2...n in slicer vliew. )

Since the current slicer doesn't support hierarchy view, would like to know alternate options other than custom visual (hierarchy slicer). I can see only 4 custom visual is in certified list Certified custom visuals. Not sure the potential issues and pros/cons if I choose other than certified list for production deployment.

Any MIS reporting will have either date hierarchy or user defined hierarchy as a slicer, but unfortunatly am unable to find these important feature in power BI tool.

Current slicer not support hierarchy, if you don't want to use the custom hierarchy slicer visual, I'd like to suggest you vote below idea which has the similar requirement:
