function 'LASTDATE' is not of type DATE

HI ALL,

I am finding the last 3 months cumulating value of Order Quantity using the below DAX - 

Date IN Period month = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Order Quantity]),DATESINPERIOD('Date'[Date].[Month],LASTDATE('Date'[Date].[Month]),-3,MONTH))

LASTEDATE is throwing error - function 'LASTDATE' is not of type DATE

Date column is having Date data type and Date heirarchy as well. I am not able to understand the error properly and don't know how to debug DAX Errors

Hi, Take the .[Month] of the end of your dates to start with. It is not required in this instance.
