Hi, we are in education industry.
We have monthly census dates which we use to calculate our financial return. (Census dates is like due dates which we use to charge our students).
I need to use forecasting feature of power bi to predict future finanicial return(Power BI does a good job in that) but its doesnt give me few flexibility that i really really want.
Few are:
1. Add a growth factor so that i can control the predicted value. My senior managemnt requested to add options such as 10% growth or 20% growth etc but i dont see anoption in power bi to do so. It uses its on algorithum to predict future intake.
2. Forecasted dates used by forecasting tool is differeent to actual census dates we use in the organisation. Is there a way i can feed these census dates which will be used in the future. I actually have it in the dataset and having null values against these dates but for some reasons its not picking up the dates.
Any thoughts??
Hi @Anonymous ,
Can you please share some sample data for test and coding formula? I'm not clear for your data structure.

Hi, here is the sample data, you will have null values against future census dates. When i feed this data into predictor it gives me a output but the future dates used by predictor tool in power bi is different to actual dates i have in the table. Is there a way to tell the predictor tool to plot future values against this dates.
Also i like to know if there a way to control the grwoth of predicted value, eg: Select between 10% or 20% growth added to the forecasted values.
