i have sales by date (for many years), and i would like to obtain the MAX value of sales by year
2016 : 324000
2017 : 345000
2018 : 298000
the example below is the sum by year, and I would like to obtain the result : 345000
Go to Solution.
You could try MAXX:
Sales Amount =
SUM( Table[Sales] )
Highest Yearly Sales =
MAXX ( VALUES ( Date[Year] ), [Sales Amount] )

You should use a measure like this:
Max of sales =
ADDCOLUMNS ( ALL ( Table[Date].[Year] ); "Sales Max"; [Sales Total] );
I'm assuming you have a Sales total measure that his the sum of sales,if not change that part by SUM(Table[Sales]).
If you want to have the sum of sales and on the total of that column the maximum use this other measure:
Column total = IF(HASONEFILTER(Table1[Date].[Year]);[Sales Total];[Max of sales])
