filled map trouble with Finland, Western Sahara and Vatican City

Trying to use the filled map and ISO-3 in the location field, I have the following issues (there may be more):

1. FIN (Finland) is not recognized and doesn't fill the country
2. ESH (Western Sahara) is not recognized and doesn't fill the country
3. VAT (Vatican City) is recognized, but fills in all of Italy

Note that I have set the ISO-3 field Data Category to Country/Region.  Using June, 2018 desktop

Is there a fix or a recommended workaround for this?

Thanks, I had already found that before I posted and none of those tips help with these issues.
