I'm wondering about others' strategy for building datasets. We've been using Power BI desktop and service for about a year now and as we're getting more familiar with it, I'm finding that we have a lot of good datasets built out that we now want to join together to yield more insights. However, I haven't found a good way to do this. I have found that you can pull in an existing dataset into a new report by using "Power Platform - Power BI datasets" but that will only let you pull in one existing dataset. I'm starting to think the best solution is to build one huge master dataset that incorporates all of the queries from the previous reports and then we will rebuild the reports using the new main dataset. I'd appreciate any feedback anyone can offer if you've tried this or if you can point me to any links with solutions to this topic. Thanks!
Yeah, I have a guy in my user group and this is one of his most dear hopes is that Microsoft will release the ability to "stich" multiple Power BI datasets together. Unfortunately this is not supported at present. Sorry, not any real help, just confirmation that you are not the only one out there that wants this.
