.dat file

Hi all,

 

How to deal with .dat file in Power BI ...

Hi @Pratima,

 

In Power BI desktop, The File category provides the following data connections:

  • Excel
  • Text/CSV
  • XML
  • JSON
  • Folder
  • SharePoint Folder

 

It doesn't support .dat file. As I know, DAT can be a text-based, video-based, an attachment, or some other kind of files. If your .dat file is text-based, I would suggest you convert it to text file, then, connect to this text file in Power BI desktop. But the data imported to Power BI might be unreadable.
