dashboards for individuals into a single report

Hello everyone,

Problem Statement:- I'm having 20 clients data. And the data model/schema is same for all the 20 client reports only the data values are different now it is not feasible to make 20 client reports and publish them one at a time by client Id. What I want is that I want to combine all the 20 reports and provide RLS security on a filter named CLIENTS e.g. C0001, B0002, A0004, J0009, etc. And according to the roles applied on RLS, will give access to the mail I'd I assigned. Note- start date & end date different for all the 20 reports and daily refresh is ON. Data source- SQL server import mode.

How can I combine all the 20 reports of the different clients into 1 report and assign RLS too??

Thanks,

Sumesh

Hi @v-piga-msft,

In my report there single data source but databases are different so I have to fetch records each to generate as many pbix for the clients which is one option. But as I'm having the same schema for all the clients and I want to create combine all this in one report with RLS in which data size will get increase and reports get slow in future.

Is there any way to create dynamic power bi link or any other feasible solution?

Thanks

Sumesh

Hi @sumesh22 ,

If I understand your scenario correctly that you have 20 pbix for 20 clients?

Are the 20 clients data from one data source?

If so, you could get data from the data source and create the report, then you could set Roles in Power BI Desktop.

Please refer to this blog how to create the dynamic RLS in Power BI Desktop.

If not, you could import the multiple data sources in the one pbix and then create the report.

Best Regards,

Cherry
