Hello guys,
I have a project assigned to me and I need a help. (It’s about a workshop machine)
Every day new Data is exported from the machine software as a Txt file and it has many rows with 7 columns. We need to visualize the data into power bi and compare every new day data with the previous days to predict.
my question is that, How I can import the file's data automatically into Power Bi with consideration of files name
day 1: file 1 name: 28803.txt
day 2: file 2 name: 29010.txt
....etc
Project abstract: The aim of this project is to use Power BI as a tool to plot the various parameters against the upper and lower limits to identify trends. Ultimately, making a smart tool to predict failures before they occur. As the data trends towards one of the limits we could take corrective measures before a failure happens.
thank you

Hi @mrashwan3,
You can create a folder, ensure the new file is stored in this folder every day. In Power BI desktop, get data from this folder, and user Combine Files feature in Query Editor. You can refresh the report every day to get the new file data in Power BI. For more information, please see: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-combine-binaries
